Western Oaks Homes for Sale

Drive to exit MoPac Boulevard in Austin Texas, and you approach the Villages at Western Oaks. Be forewarned: this beautiful community right on prime Hill Country terrain might just take your breath away. Many homebuyers are first attracted to the Villages at Western Oaks because of the beautiful views, but a little extra research unearths the true value of this community. Villages at Western Oaks offers a peaceful haven away from the city, but offers a commute of only a few minutes to access the dining, shopping, and other attractions of Austin. This makes Villages at Western Oaks one of the most conveniently located communities in the area.

Villages at Western Oaks is between Slaughter Line and William Cannon Drive, near MoPac. This close-knit community is similar in tone and feeling to exclusive suburban communities. However, Villages at Western Oaks has none of the attitude – everyone here is friendly. The long commutes that most suburbanites face is also not a factor in Villages at Western Oaks – every convenience and amenity you could want is only a short drive away.

The Villages at Western Oaks community was developed over the past ten years. The local real estate market includes many single family homes as well as a number of condominiums and apartments. Most of the condos and rentals are close to William Cannon Drive. Homebuyers enjoy a wealth of choice among the many well-maintained properties of Villages at Western Oaks.

Villages at Western Oaks is close to many wonderful green spaces, thanks to the fact that the community is right on the border of Texas Hill Country. The 18-acre Village of Western Oaks Karst Preserve is right on the border of the Villages at Western Oaks community. This preserve has unique sinkholes and caves that are only to be found in this area of Texas. It is even possible to get tours of these caves to see how the underground creatures in the caverns live. Villages at Western Oaks also has Nichols Park, which boasts an impressive heated pool, great hiking trails, and many other amenities that residents appreciate. Just 30 minutes in the car is all it takes to get to the heart of Hill Country. There, miles from the city, you can enjoy the natural Texas landscape and flora and fauna that is indigenous to the area.

Although Villages at Western Oaks is a wonderful haven, it is also a practical place to live. If you work in Austin, Highway 290 will take you to your place of employment. Downtown Austin is only 10 miles from Villages at Western Oaks, so the commute to work is never arduous. Parents considering Villages at Western Oaks real estate will also be pleased to learn that Villages at Western Oaks students attend some of the most esteemed schools in the prestigious Austin Independent School District.

Where do I start?! I asked family for a recommendation and he couldn’t have hit the mark any better. Vicki Duran was responsive and on point from the first inquiry. I am one of those who likes to be conscientious of most things. So I reached out to her months before we were scheduled to fly in. She kept in touch during the waiting period and was ready to hit the “road” when we got into town. She had preowned and new builds ready, but in the climate of timing when we wanted to see homes… preowned were dropping and being picked up before you had a chance to view.
