October Statistics First Look: City of Austin Avg $ Jumps 27.45%
Hello and we hope you’re doing well! We have manually run market statistics for the month of October in order to get a first look at the market’s performance. These numbers are a fantastic way to see how the market is performing, but they aren’t as highly reviewed as the statistics that ABOR & Independence Title will send in 1-2 weeks. All data is pulled from ACTRIS MLS data.
We’ve looked at numbers for the greater Austin metro area, along with numbers specifically for Austin addresses. Here is what we found for the month of October:
The great Austin market continues to amaze. The most impressive number is the +27.45% increase in Avg Sold Price in the city of Austin. It’s worth noting that Median Sold Price was calmer with a +14.89% increase (which is still a historic gain.) The city of Austin total sales increase by +12.6% and days on market drop to only 7 days to sell.
The greater Austin metro area saw huge gains in unit sales at +19.74% to 3773 total sales. Median Sold Price increased by +12.52% to $359,950. Homes are selling incredibly quickly and Median Days on Market dropped from 28 days to 9.
We’ll be back in touch with you when we have the full set of data for the month of October. We are particularly interested to see pending data, which will show us if we are beginning to see any sort of seasonal slow down.
