The competition for marketing real estate property has become more evident in recent years, especially as real estate photography with drones has become more popular. Real estate drone photography is an incredible way to sell your home while meeting the most recent trends. Most home buyers are scouring the internet for their next home. Drones offer breathtaking aerial images and can provide a unique experience.

Drone photography can be used for all different real estate needs, including but not limited to residential homes, apartments, 360° panoramas, resorts, and is still capable of capturing the most beautiful still images. At Bramlett Residential, a trusted Austin, Texas real estate company, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service. We’re here to provide you, as a homeowner, everything you need to know about the benefits of using drones for real estate photography.

Why Use Drones for Real Estate

Have you ever seen those breathtaking aerial commercials? The one where they seamlessly pan over beautiful evergreen forests, luxurious mansions, or numerous other wide-sweeping landscape shots. We are now at the advantage of being able to recreate these same professional effects, minus the film crew army. Drone aerial photos have made it so homeowners can sell their real estate in the best possible form, eye-catching photos that are sure to sell your home nearly 68 percent faster when using real estate drone photography.

Some of the many benefits of using drones for real estate photography include meeting real estate trends and offering a personal view of the property. Not to mention, drones are one of the best ways to show the surrounding land, as well. Using drone photography is the perfect opportunity to show off neighborhood amenities, land, and possibly the whole neighborhood when you’re looking to sell a home. Provide potential buyers with a unique perspective as they get better views of overhead site maps, and captivate them using special tools such as the virtual tour arena that provides 360-degree panorama shots. Our real estate agents in Austin believe professional photography, especially drone usage, is a great investment to consider when selling your home. Drone photography can save you time and money, while simultaneously telling the perfect story.

Best Drones to Use for Real Estate Photography

If you are considering using drones for real estate photography to create a professional Hollywood effect without using a film crew, review the best drones to use and what they have to offer. These ready-to-fly cameras are amongst the most popular options on the market used by real estate drone photographers. The best drones to use for real estate photography come complete with a one-year warranty, 4K camera, three-axis gimbal, live video feed, flying platform, a flight controller, and an advanced flight control software that work together seamlessly.

Mavic Mini

This is the perfect real estate drone to start off with. It brings forth long flight times with great video and image quality. It is the perfect drone for indoor and outdoor shots at a phenomenal price. The downside is that this specific drone does not produce 4K video, but has a great resolution between 1080p and 2160p. The best part of this drone is that it is lightweight and foldable, making it simple to take anywhere!

Mavic 2 Pro

Known for the impeccable camera, the Mavic 2 Pro is ideal for most real estate projects. With an all-around package, it includes 4K video, automatic flight modes, and omnidirectional obstacle sensing and avoidance features. It can assist in recreating those cinematic shots with its wide variety of flight/camera modes. Although it is on the pricier side, our Austin realtors consider it a great investment sure to catch the eye of potential home buyers.

Phantom 4 Pro V2.0

A great choice for professionals searching for a versatile drone for general purposes, not just real estate. It is much heavier than the previous options and provides a mechanical shutter for high-speed shots. This luxurious drone also includes a long transmission range with HD live view.

Real Estate Photography Pricing

If you are in the market for a real estate drone photographer, be prepared to pay around $300 to $500 for a 1-5-minute short video. This price also should include at least ten high-quality aerial photos from both inside and outside the home. If you are looking for a detailed video tour of the entire house, the price is roughly around $1,000. These are important factors to consider, especially when a good quality drone camera is around $400 - $1,800. If you plan on outsourcing to a real estate drone photographer, make sure you go through some important topics with them before you begin shooting.

Ensure that your drone photographer is FAA certified, has liability insurance, and all the proper indemnifications. We also recommend going over a fixed price list for deliverables versus being charged by the hour.

There are many benefits to real estate photography. Incorporating these high-quality visuals can help tell the story of your home. As home buyers visualize themselves walking through the entryways of a virtual tour, it can transport them there from the internet. Whether you plan on doing it yourself or hiring a professional, it is a great investment to get the most bang for your buck in the real estate photography market. Most people scour the internet for their perfect home, scrolling through pictures endlessly. Drone photography is a sure-fire way to show buyers all the intricate details your home has to offer.

JC was very helpful during the process of buying my first home. He directed me to lenders that truly had my best interest at heart. I almost made a few bad decisions that JC was there to wave off for me. I truly appreciate JC's responsiveness to ALL of my many questions and his willingness to be a sounding board for my frustrations in the process. I still hear from JC from time to time ensuring that I am happy with my home and letting me know of up and coming business in my area that might affect my property value. I will absolutely be using JC to purchase my next home.

Ruth helped us to view many houses and (over months) to make multiple offers in a really, really tough market for buyers. Our low bids were our own fault! Ruth's guesses are always spot on. We finally had a bid accepted last month, and Ruth helped us re-negotiate after significant problems were discovered. Ruth has gone above and beyond for us, giving us far more time during this long search than we could reasonably have expected. She even helped us look for a rental when we'd basically given up. Her advice has always been immensely valuable and brutally honest. She is the most knowledgeable agent I've met on the Central Austin market. She also handled our stress well, and believe me, buying in Austin right now is stressful!

I had a great experience working with Bramlett Residential Real Estate. Jean Holm was my agent and she & her team made the whole process very simple. She explained everything very well, was knowledgeable, had great advice, and got our home sold. Definitely reccomend!

I worked with Jeremy Vandermause to buy my first home. Jeremy was so patient throughout the process (which I definitely dragged out as I gathered all the facts). He consistently sent me homes I was interested in and was eager to show them off, and on the odd occasions where I found one he hadn't already seen he always made himself available to walk through with me. He was very helpful in those walkthroughs pointing out home features I would have missed, or providing context on neighborhood. As a native Austinite, he definitely knows the history and cultural fabric of the city and each neighborhood. I started with close to zero knowledge of the home-buying process and Jeremy walked me through every step with clarity and patience. So excited about the home I now own! Plus, he's just a legit cool dude. I always really enjoyed our conversations and could tell from the start he was someone worth knowing in Austin

This review is about Joe Gage, their real estate agent. I'm based in Sam Francisco and was looking for investment property in Austin. I tried out three different agents based on recommendations from different sources, including Yelp. Joe clearly stands out. He's very patient and responsive. I'm not familiar with the area at all thus had a lot of questions. His email reply contains detailed information of the neighborhood, including shops nearby, schools and so on. He regularly screen houses and give recommendations once he sees a good fit for investment house offered at reasonable price. He's very knowledgeable about the area. All his recommendations comes with details around why he thinks it's a good investment and sales/rental data in the neighborhood to justify the price he thinks it's worth as well as the expected rental income. I found him to be very methodical and organized. He's not a typical sales person. Maybe this is because he used to be an accountant. Needless to say he earned our trust and we went with him to make the purchase. I was very impressed through the whole process. He's very calm and never pushy. His recommendation on the bid price was right on and he was very good at following up with various parties to push things through. The process went through very smoothly. If anyone is looking for a good real estate agent in Austin, I'd recommend Joe whole-heartedly. His professionalism and calm personality make him a real pleasure to work with.
