A Texas native, Carson has lived all over the state and is proud to call Austin home since 1991. He arrived in Austin by way of Temple, TX to study communications at the University of Texas and decided to stay. A long stint in the hospitality business translated well for a move to the ever-changing, high-energy world of Real Estate and he has been a full-time agent since 2001.

A client-based, high level of customer service approach has served him and his clients well over the years. He has proven to be a skilled negotiator bringing knowledge, experience, and a commitment to success for his clients. Carson takes a lot of pride in the fact that many of his clients become lifelong friends and trust him with their friends and family. He has built a strong referral network over the years.

It is not lost on Carson that the experience of buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction. He enjoys educating his clients about the process, bringing energy and excitement to the table with his friendly demeanor, and making sure his clients know that he will be there before, during, and after they close on a home. He plays several roles during the process, including but not limited to advocate, advisor, negotiator, creative problem solver, therapist, stand-up comedian, and an all-around resource to get things done.

Carson has represented hundreds of clients over the years and has been involved in many facets of the business from investors, to first-time home buyers, to high net-worth clients. He has been awarded the Texas Monthly Five Star Agent status every year since 2008, which is given to about 1.5% of agents in Texas based solely on customer feedback and satisfaction, not production.

During his free time, Carson enjoys an active lifestyle that includes many outdoor activities. He loves to cook, and also explore the food and music scene with his wife Elizabeth, spending time with his dogs Guinness and Jake, and traveling. He is active in animal rescue, Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels.

I found Carson by searching Real Estate Agents in Austin who are also investors/landlords. Carson is certainly worth a call! I contacted Carson to ask if it made sense to stay in touch and possibly meet because I was looking for a 2-4 plex in Austin. Being from California and only having been in Austin 1-2 months at the time, it was critical for me to meet a real estate agent who was familiar with landlord’s perspective in the Austin market.<br/><br/>Carson and I didn’t do business that day or even that month. Later in the year, I was more prepared to get in depth and serious with the search so I reached out to Carson and he set me up on an MLS list with my search criteria. As my wife and I disqualified zip codes Carson was patient enough to update our search criteria promptly. Along the search Carson advised us and answered all our questions. My wife found a duplex listed as “coming soon” on Zillow so we drove past it and asked Carson what this listing status meant. Carson got us an appointment to view the duplex the first day it came on the market, our offer was accepted and Carson was there every step of the way.<br/><br/>After closing Carson continues to offer value to the transaction. Carson called me in early January to recommend that I fill out paperwork to make the duplex my homestead. This was very useful because, coming from California, I didn’t know about this. I know I can call Carson any time with questions around real estate. Carson is very personable, relatable, yet still very professional.

The main “takeaway” I had when dealing with Mr. Gallagher (on 2 separate deals now) would be that I’ve walked away with more knowledge about the buying/selling process than I did going in. Mr. Gallagher was very adamant about letting me know that he was there to work for me and he would do anything (within reason, of course) that I asked throughout the process; with that being said, he was also expressive in letting me know that he would inform me of the impact of any decision I make concerning the deal at hand, in turn making me feel very comfortable knowing that I had the information I would need to make informative decisions. He’s on my phone for future deals and referrals to my circle of friends and family.

As a first time home buyer, Carson was the first real estate agent I’d worked with and I’m grateful for it! Carson knows this business extremely well, and it comes across in the first moment you speak with him. He’s an authentic and trustworthy advisor, a true professional .. you don’t meet many like this. When our family finally accepted that we had outgrown our first house and needed to make a change, I found myself dreading the process. Our real estate agent, Carson Gallagher, not only helped us negotiate a great sale and find a gorgeous new home full of possibilities at a terrific price, but he made the entire process comfortable and fun. With his easy-going nature, he listened to our desires and concerns, then he took that information and helped us make great decisions. He anticipated potential problems and had us completely prepared for each step in the sale of our old home and the purchase of our new one. We closed on our old house one week and closed on the new home the next, and we didn’t spend a single night without sleeping in our own beds. Thanks to Carson’s attention to detail, his great attitude and his constant availability, we actually enjoyed our home-selling and home-buying experience.

Carson helped my husband and I purchase our first duplex in Austin, TX. As first time home owners we had a lot to learn and had many questions about the entire process. Carson was always very patient and answered all of our questions. He was never too busy to answer a call, reply to a text, or an email. His knowledge and experience about real estate made me feel very comfortable and to this day we continue to ask for advice and guidance regarding our purchase and future ventures. Carson helped me purchase a new home when I moved to Austin in 2012. Really liked working with him for these reasons: 1) followed through with his commitments and very responsive (e.g., would send information right away when he would say he would; dedicated several weekends to showing me homes etc.) 2) always felt he was my agent looking out for my interests – vs. others who are more interested in closing a deal and moving on to the next customer 3)and ultimately, was able to negotiate a deal for the house I wanted within my budget (and below asking price)

Carson knows the community very well. He went above and beyond in order to get me the most money possible for my sale. The entire process could not have been any easier. Carson provided me with suggestions for prepping my house for listing, and I feel like I got a nice return on the investment.

I can only echo the comments of other reviewers who agree that Carson is a quality person and an honest and knowledgeable realtor. Carson quickly zeroed-in on good choices in our modest price range and weeded out the marginal properties which suffered from subtle flaws. As an out-of-state buyer, I appreciated this efficiency and his low-key approach. With his help we quickly selected two small properties and he bargained hard for us. Everything went very smoothly through each closing.
