Carson helped my husband and I purchase our first duplex in Austin, TX. As first time home owners we had a lot to learn and had many questions about the entire process. Carson was always very patient and answered all of our questions. He was never too busy to answer a call, reply to a text, or an email. His knowledge and experience about real estate made me feel very comfortable and to this day we continue to ask for advice and guidance regarding our purchase and future ventures. He was a pleasure to do business with and we will most definitely use his expertise again when purchasing our next property.
Carson helped me purchase a new home when I moved to Austin in 2012. Really liked working with him for these reasons: 1) followed through with his commitments and very responsive (e.g., would send information right away when he would say he would; dedicated several weekends to showing me homes etc.) 2) always felt he was my agent looking out for my interests – vs. others who are more interested in closing a deal and moving on to the next customer 3)and ultimately, was able to negotiate a deal for the house I wanted within my budget (and below asking price)
Carson knows the community very well. He went above and beyond in order to get me the most money possible for my sale. The entire process could not have been any easier. Carson provided me with suggestions for prepping my house for listing, and I feel like I got a nice return on the investment.
I can only echo the comments of other reviewers who agree that Carson is a quality person and an honest and knowledgeable realtor. Carson quickly zeroed-in on good choices in our modest price range and weeded out the marginal properties which suffered from subtle flaws. As an out-of-state buyer, I appreciated this efficiency and his low-key approach. With his help we quickly selected two small properties and he bargained hard for us. Everything went very smoothly through each closing.
I worked with Carson a few years back in Austin, It was lovely to lean on his expertise and not worry about a thing during my closing. Carson had my interest in mind first and foremost, anyone would be lucky to have him as a realtor either searching or selling a home in Austin Texas!

Carson helped make our cross-country move to Austin go very well, especially since my husband had to move to Austin several months before the rest of us and I could not even be present to select our new home! Carson helped us identify the area(s) of the community that would work for our family’s needs and he helped us set an appropriate budget for our new home, since housing prices in this area are considerably higher than our former city. We had to spend more than we originally wanted but were still well below our loan threshold, which fits with our conservative approach to debt. Once we started considering houses, on several occasions Carson visited potential homes on his own to vet them for us due to my husband’s demanding schedule at his work. This helped my husband save time. For the short list, Carson and my husband connected with me via cell phone video to include me in the home showings in “real time.” Ultimately, the home we ended up buying was perfect for our family and was actually a good value even in today’s seller’s market. Carson also negotiated with the sellers to put on a new roof so that was an added bonus. Our family is very grateful to Carson for his knowledge and diligence.
Carson really took care of us. I regard him as an expert in his field. I had no stress about Carson, only the market fluctuations but Carson was always reasuring us. His negotiation skills are impressive. We sold our house and bought another all within a week. Carson was there the whole time guiding us and taking care of us ensuring everything worked out. Carson is on time for appointments always communicating status and ready to answer your questions. He became a friend and someone I trust.
Carson Gallagher at Realty Austin has been involved in every Real Estate transaction we’ve ever done over the last 16 years. We’ve bought 3 homes with him, sold 1, and rented another. We keep coming back because of his knowledge, but even more so because of the trust we have in him as an advisor. This last search started during the boom here in Austin. In the face of that market craziness, our target locations, priorities, and even our comfort level on prices fluctuated, sometimes week to week. Carson had immense patience in a search that took us all over the greater Austin area and went on for 5 months in earnest. He helped us dodge two different bullets, first when we fell in love with a house that had major issues he spotted for us, and second when we fatigued of the search and effectively settled on a house that wasn’t right for us. In both cases his advice kept us from making a very big mistake and ultimately led us to a place that we absolutely love. In the search before that, Carson helped us find a condo in about 3 weeks that we loved for 9 years. The length of this last search was truly a combo of the market conditions and our indecision. I cannot recommend him enough. He truly cares that you find a home that you are excited about. He really listens and works to understand what’s important to you. He has a good sense of when to step in and give advice, but gives you the tools to direct your search in the way you want. We’re thrilled with where we are, but if/when it comes time to buy or sell another property, Carson will be our first call.
